Brick‑and‑Beam Icon of Queen West
51 Wolseley Street, Toronto, Ontario
Erected in 1922 as the printing works of Beare’s Limited, this five‑storey, 16,995 sq ft warehouse pairs buff‑brick walls, heavy timber beams and steel sash windows—the classic industrial DNA of early‑20th‑century Toronto. Today, the restored structure hosts Workplace One’s boutique coworking hub, preserving its heritage shell while delivering light‑filled, contemporary workspace.

Tucked just north of Queen & Bathurst, West Queen West is a creative corridor alive with design showrooms, indie galleries, cafés and the green respite of Alexandra Park—named one of the world’s “coolest neighbourhoods” by travel editors.
Original maple columns and exposed brick set a warm industrial backdrop for polished concrete floors, curated art and skylit lounges, while a preserved “Beare’s Ltd.” ghost sign hints at the building’s print‑shop past.
